ASUS Tablet 600 With Windows RT Showcased at Computex 2012

In the event the Computex 2012, Asus showed off a tablet that will run with Windows RT. Asus does not use Windows 8 on the new tablet is because Windows 8 can only run on processors from Intel, as Intel Atom or Ivy Bridge. As for the ARM chip-based devices, Microsoft is preparing Windows RT.

ASUS tablet code-named itself the ASUS Tablet 600 will be equipped with an ARM chip with support for quad-core processor NVIDIA Tegra 3. The tablet has a 10.1-inch IPS display 600 nit with 1366 x 768.

ASUS Tablet 600 is also equipped with a 12-core GPU with 2GB RAM and ASUS SonicMaster technology that is claimed to deliver outstanding multimedia performance.

The tablet also comes with a mobile dock complete with QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, USB ports and additional batteries. The tablet also has an 8MP camera fixed to the rear and a 2MP camera on the front.
