WhatsApp Tests Beta Scam Alert Feature To Detect Scam Messages

How Scam Alert Works On WhatsApp

Interestingly, this checking process is carried out without notifying the sender that their messages are being analyzed by WhatsApp's security system.
After receiving a warning, users can decide what action they want to take.
If the number is considered safe, users can mark it as a trusted contact.
Conversely, if the conversation appears suspicious, users can immediately block and report the sender.
WhatsApp also provides an option to share up to the five most recent messages from the conversation with the platform if the user chooses to trust the chat.

Scam Alert WhatsApp Can Be Enabled Manually
This security feature is not activated automatically right away. Scam Alert is optional, so users must enable it manually if the feature is already available on their device.
On the Android version of WhatsApp, the Scam Alert settings can be found through: Settings > Account
For now, the feature is reportedly starting to become available on a limited basis in WhatsApp Beta version 2.26.34.1.
Because it is still in the testing stage, the availability of the feature and the appearance of its settings may differ for each user.
