OpenAI Launches Images 2.5: The Latest AI Image Generator Is Faster and More Precise
Technology-Portfolio.Net - OpenAI has officially introduced Images 2.5 as the latest generation of the company's AI image-generation model, which is promised to be more unique, detailed, and precise, while also working faster than its predecessor.
The launch coincides with the growing number of ChatGPT users. According to the company's data, more than three billion images are produced with their AI model every week.
ChatGPT Images 2.5 is said to be capable of producing images with more natural lighting and richer textures. Objects featured in the generated images are also promised to appear more proportionally, following the photo references provided by users.
OpenAI also promises improved performance speed for its AI image-generation model by reducing image processing latency by 50 percent compared with ChatGPT Image 2.0.
Some of the capabilities of ChatGPT Images 2.5 showcased by OpenAI include accuracy in following prompts (instructions), precise editing, consistent editing even when instructions are given repeatedly, the ability to turn rough sketches into realistic images, as well as improvements to the styles of the generated images.
The Images 2.5 model is now available on ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, as well as for Codex users accessing it through the desktop, mobile, or web applications.
Meanwhile, for application developers, OpenAI has also introduced two new AI models, namely GPT-Image-2.5 Flare and GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst.
