Xiaomi Launched Redmi Note 17 Series With 10,000 mAh Battery Capacity
Technology-Portfolio.Net - Xiaomi has released its latest Redmi Note 17 smartphone lineup for the global market, featuring a massive battery capacity of up to 10,000 mAh on the top-end Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G variant. This mid-range lineup sets a new battery endurance record, with a claimed normal usage time of up to three days without power-saving mode.
The device lineup consists of four main models, namely the standard Note 17, Note 17 5G, Note 17 Pro 5G, and Note 17 Pro Max 5G. The announcement coincides with the Note series reaching 500 million units shipped worldwide.
The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G variant is equipped with a 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100W HyperCharge technology as well as 27W reverse charging. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, a 50 MP OIS main camera, a 32 MP selfie camera, and a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The device’s power system is managed by the Surge G2 chip, which is designed to keep the battery capacity above 80 percent even after 1,600 charging cycles. In terms of durability, the Pro model has IP66/IP68/IP69 certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G variant features an 8,340 mAh battery with 67W charging and is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. For the base Note 17 5G and regular Note 17 models, Xiaomi has equipped them with 7,700 mAh batteries with support for 45W charging.
For comparison, in the Indian market, the standard Redmi 17 5G version features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip with a 7,900 mAh battery and a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display. The device is marketed starting at Rs 23,999 or around 299 US dollars for the base variant.
