iPhone 18 Pro Specifications With A 5,200 mAh Battery and A20 Pro Chip

Technology-Portfolio.Net - Apple is reportedly preparing a significant performance boost for its next-generation premium smartphone lineup, the iPhone 18 Pro. The flagship is rumored to be powered by the latest-generation A20 Pro chipset, which offers a speed increase of up to 18%.
The A20 Pro processor is also claimed to be 30% more power-efficient than the A19 Pro found in the iPhone 17 Pro.
The A20 Pro chip is expected to use TSMC's latest 2 nm fabrication process. Several leaks suggest that the chip will offer around 18 percent higher performance and 30 percent greater power efficiency.
Apple may also use a new method for packaging the chip and memory, which is expected to help control heat when the device is used for gaming as well as running AI-based tasks.
iPhone 18 Pro Max is also rumored to feature a battery with a capacity between 5,200 mAh and 5,567 mAh, depending on the variant. That capacity could be around 9-12 percent larger than last year's model.
Combined with a more efficient chip and Apple's new C2 modem, battery life could be one of the biggest improvements this year.
However, there is one interesting thing. The most exciting hardware change will likely only be available on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Apple is reportedly adding a variable aperture to its main camera. This feature allows the lens to adjust the amount of light entering the sensor.
A wider aperture can help when taking photos at night while also producing a blurrier background. Meanwhile, a smaller aperture can keep more parts of the image in focus.
With camera sensors that are now larger and increasingly improved image processing, it will be interesting to see how Apple makes use of these features.
Another major improvement comes from the software side. The iPhone 18 Pro models will run iOS 27 and the new Siri AI that Apple announced at WWDC.
Siri will eventually be able to understand what is currently displayed on the screen, use the user's personal context, and perform various tasks within apps. There will even be a separate Siri app that stores previous conversations, similar to ChatGPT or Gemini.
Apple is also expected to use a new LTPO+ display that can regulate power consumption down to the pixel level. Combined with the new M16 display material, the screen should be more efficient while also offering better color accuracy.
There will also be new color options. Dark Cherry is rumored to be this year's signature color, along with Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver. If the circulating renders are indeed accurate, Dark Cherry — a dark purplish-red color — will likely be the most appealing option.
Regarding the circulating price rumors, several reports say Apple is trying to maintain starting prices around US$1,099 for the iPhone 18 Pro and US$1,199 for the Pro Max variant in the US market. Nevertheless, the high production costs of 2nm chips could potentially drive adjustments to the retail prices when they are officially launched later.
